Many years ago, there was a small boy
This little boy had a mother, a father, and two sisters
The little boy was told to collect all the tearsw he cried throughout the day
And keep them in a bottle he hung around his neck
Before he went to sleep every night, his father would say,
"Son, have you taken your medicine?"
And the little boy would take his bottle,
And drink all of the tears he cried throughout the day
You might ask
Why the little boy had to drink his tears before bedtime?
Well, when the little boy was even littler than he is now
His mother told him,
"If you drink all the tears you cried throughout the day,
All the bad things in the world will go away,
And you will stay a little boy,
Always only to play."
All the bad things in the world didn't go away.
And day by day he found himslef less able to play.
So he sits here
Lines on his face
With a bottle full of tears
Telling his stories
For nobody
To hear
